Petey

Petey This bird is the cutest Nanday conure you ever will see. In addition, he is loud and obnoxious, but his cuteness makes it impossible to not love him.

Petey suffers from severe displasia in both hips. Having been taken from his parents, he was placed in an aquarium without a 'nest' to rest in. Being featherless, with closed eyes and unable to stand yet, as he grew and attempted to stand, his legs continually slipped out from under him, causing his hip joints to grow improperly.

Petey's modes of transportation are to scoot along on his belly, or fly. You can usually find him laying on top of the kitchen door's curtain waiting from my husband to come home. If he's not up there, he's hanging from the valance, peering out the window looking for his companion.
